Murdoch Macdonald
Sir Murdoch Macdonald (born May 6, 1866 in Inverness , † April 24, 1957 ) was a British hydraulic engineer . From 1922 to 1950 he was a member of the British House of Commons .
Life
After graduating in 1890, he began working in British Egypt in 1898 . He was involved in raising the first Aswan dam . On June 22, 1914 he was knighted as Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George . In 1927 he founded the consulting company Sir M MacDonald & Partners . With this he planned for decades irrigation systems in Egypt and Sudan .
From 1922 to 1950 he was a member of the British House of Commons .
