The Museo Nacional de Arqueología, Antropología e Historia del Perú is a Peruvian museum in Lima ( Pueblo Libre district ).

The Museo Nacional de Arqueología Antropología e Historia del Perú is dedicated to the archeology , anthropology and history of Peru . It is located on Plaza Bolívar in the Pueblo Libre district of Lima. The most important exhibits include the Raimondi stele and the Tello Obelisk by Chavín de Huantar . The museum also has an impressive model of the Inca site Machu Picchu . The museum was founded in 1822 by José Bernardo de Tagle Portocarrero and Bernardo de Monteagudo . The first museum director was Mariano Eduardo de Rivero y Ustariz .
