The Museo de Cera ( Spanish for wax museum ) of the city of Madrid is a museum in which famous people from the fields of entertainment, sports, art, science, literature or history, as well as life-size film characters are shown. Events in Spanish history are also reconstructed in wax .

The opening took place in 1972.
