The Museum Uslar is a museum for local history in Uslar . It deals with the history of the city and the Solling . Various exhibitions take place in the museum every year.

On around 1000 square meters, it houses numerous exhibits, including a special collection of skulls from the chapel in the Uslar district of Vahle .

history

It was founded in 1907 by Heinrich Sohnrey's co-operation . According to a report in the “Sollinger Nachrichten” (former local weekly newspaper), the collection of exhibits began in 1937.

Events

Since the late 1980s, special exhibitions have been held at the Uslar Museum on a regular basis. Since 1994 you have mainly dealt with contemporary history or social history and the everyday life of the "little people" in the Solling region. Some exhibition projects were planned and carried out in cooperation with local associations.
