Music from The Body is the  soundtrack  to Roy Battersby's documentary  The Body (1970) , composed by Ron Geesin and Roger Waters .

Emergence

The music was written in collaboration with Pink Floyd member Roger Waters and composer and arranger Ron Geesin after the two had worked together on Atom Heart Mother that same year . The album makes frequent use of so-called bio - music , in which the body's own noises ( clapping , breathing , laughing , flatulence, etc.) are incorporated. On Give Birth to a Smile , the last song, all members of Pink Floyd and Ron Geesin can be heard at the piano. David Gilmour , Nick Mason and Richard Wright are not mentioned on the cover, however.
