Steyr Music Festival

The Steyr Music Festival is a music festival in the municipality of Steyr in Upper Austria .

history

There are operas , musicals and operettas brought to the stage. Karl-Michael Ebner has been the director since 1995. The open-air productions take place in the castle moat of Lamberg Castle and, in bad weather, in the Steyr City Theater or in the Old City Theater ( Cölestinerinnen-Kirche Steyr ).

In 2013 almost 10,000 visitors were recorded. The organizer is the Steyr Music Festival Association. It was financed through sponsors, entrance fees and public funding.
