Karl-Michael Ebner

Karl-Michael Ebner (born March 7, 1972 in Schärding ) is an Austrian tenor , artistic director , conductor and oboist .

Career

Ebner received his first musical training as a soloist with the Vienna Boys' Choir , studied oboe , singing and conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , singing with Gertrude Grob-Prandl and lied and oratorio at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz .

Ebner was the director of the USO vocal ensemble from 1990 to 2002. From 1997 to 2007 Ebner directed the Bad Hall spa theater for operas and musicals . Karl-Michael Ebner has been artistic director of the Steyr music festival since 1995 , as well as the artistic director of the Steyr Schubert festival . Since the 1999/2000 season Karl-Michael Ebner has been a member of the soloist ensemble of the Vienna Volksoper . In 2001 he made his debut at the Vienna State Opera , where he has been a permanent guest ever since.

In 2009 he participated in the founding of the Art Projects Association, which is responsible for the annual event, such as B. shows responsible Christmas with the Vienna Boys' Choir .

Karl-Michael Ebner was the initiator of the Austrian Music Theater Prize in 2013 , of which he is President and Director.

As a tenor soloist, Karl-Michael Ebner has performed at numerous opera houses in Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA.
