Breast milk, meat Freud ( Mother's Meat Freud's Flesh ) is a Canadian student film from the year 1984 .

action

Demira is a porn actor whose mother almost suffocates him with her love and would rather see him as a Hollywood star. Since he suffers from excessive maternal love, he seeks out a psychiatrist who discovers homosexual tendencies in him, which he then practices on the spot with Demira. Demira immediately tells his mother about this. She then becomes jealous and enters into a liaison with an elderly gentleman in order to get her son's attention back to herself, which however fails. Demira, contrary to expectations, becomes a Hollywood star, but has to act in sexually and artistically humiliating films. The film ends abruptly when Demira's actor simply leaves the set amid loud protest.

particularities

  • The sometimes pornographic and brutal film was the only Canadian contribution to the Berlinale in 1984 and caused a scandal when it was shown to Canadian members of the government during the Berlinale.
  • The soundtrack consists exclusively of songs by the NDW band Trio , which at the end of 1983 explicitly allowed the director to use their music.
  • The director Demetri Estdelacropolis is currently preparing a DVD release of the film.
