The German ordinance on maternity protection for female soldiers (Mutterschutzverordnung für Soldatinnen - MuSchSoldV) is a statutory ordinance issued by the federal government . It regulates maternity leave for women soldiers in Germany.

The provisions of the Maternity Protection Ordinance for female soldiers are similar to those of the Maternity Protection Act , but are adapted to the special employment conditions in the Bundeswehr .

Section 1 obliges female soldiers to report pregnancy and the presumed day of delivery to their superiors or the military doctor.

§ 2 , § 3 and § 4 contain service bans (for example no night duty, no additional duty, no heavy physical stress). According to § 3a , the regulations of the regulation for the protection of mothers at work (MuSchArbV) apply accordingly.

The maternity protection period is regulated in Section 5 . § 6 and § 6a contain regulations on salaries, training allowances, allowances and grants. From the beginning of pregnancy up to four months after childbirth, female soldiers are particularly protected against dismissal ( Section 6b ). This regulation corresponds to the special protection against dismissal for pregnant workers.
