Mutukala is a city in northwestern Tanzania on the border with Uganda .

location

Mutukula is located in the Kagera region , on the border with the northern neighboring state of Uganda. Lake Victoria is about 20 kilometers east of Mutukula .

There is a border crossing in Mutukula, which is crossed by an average of 418 vehicles every day. Mainly goods are transported from Tanzania to Uganda. Mutukula is connected to the city of Mwanza by the T4 road .

Uganda

The border with the neighboring state Uganda, which divides Mutukula into a Tanzanian and a Ugandan part, is not omnipresent for the population. The exchange between the places is lively, despite the conflicts that Uganda and Tanzania had in the past, including the Uganda-Tanzania war .

The Ugandan part of Mutukula has a population about three times larger than the Tanzanian part.
