Hassan Amzile (born June 5, 1988 in Rueil-Malmaison , France ) is a French boxer and 2016 Olympian in the light welterweight division .

Amateur career

Hassan Amzile is French light welterweight champion from 2013, 2014 and 2015. So far he has won international tournaments in Lithuania, Russia and Spain, was a participant in the European Championships in 2015 (defeat against Dmitri Galagot ) and quarter-finalist in the European Games in 2015 (wins against Naser Shala and Yevgeny Dauhaljawez, defeat against Vincenzo Mangiacapre ).

In the European Olympic qualification in Turkey in April 2016 , he defeated Erik Pijetraj and Arturs Ahmetovs before being eliminated in the quarter-finals against Batuhan Gözgeç . He then took part in the global Olympic qualification in Azerbaijan in June 2016 and again reached the quarter-finals by winning against Georgian Nyeki and Ermek Sakenow, where he was defeated by Pat McCormack . However, since McCormarck was able to win the tournament, Amzile was also qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil as his defeated quarter-final opponent . At the Olympics, he defeated Jonas Junias 3-0 in the preliminary round , but was eliminated in the second round with 1: 2 against Collazo Sotomayor .

He has been boxing for the French team Fighting Roosters in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) since 2017 and has four wins and two losses.

Professional career

He made his professional debut on December 14, 2019.
