Dmitri Galagot (born October 11, 1992 ) is a Moldovan amateur boxer.

Career

He was Moldovan featherweight champion in 2009, Moldovan lightweight champion in 2010, and Moldovan light welterweight champion in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2019 he became Moldovan welterweight champion. In 2008 he took part in the European Cadet Championships in Plovdiv , in 2009 in the European Youth Championships in Szczecin , and in 2010 in the World Youth Championships in Baku , without however reaching the medal ranks.

At the 2011 World Championships in Baku, he lost in the second preliminary round to the Serbian Branimir Stanković. At the University World Championships in Baku in 2012, he lost in the semifinals against the Russian Ruslan Urich and won a bronze medal in the light welterweight division. At the U22 European Championships in 2012 in Kaliningrad , he got out in 5th place in the light welterweight division, after he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the Russian Awak Uslijan.

In June 2013 he took part in the European Championships in Minsk , defeated Ara Pulusjan from Armenia, Gajbatulla Hajialijew from Azerbaijan and Artem Harutiunian from Germany in the light welterweight division , before he was eliminated in the final against Armen Sakarjan from Russia. In July of the same year he won bronze at the Summer Universiade in Kazan .

In October 2013 he started at the World Championships in Almaty , lost to Evaldas Petrauskas in the round of 16 and thus placed 9th. When chemistry Cup 2014 in Germany he won bronze. He won another third place at the EU championships in Bulgaria. He was eliminated in the semifinals against Vincenzo Mangiacapre .

At the 2015 World Championships in Doha , he lost in the preliminary round to Englishman Pat McCormack . At the 2018 EU Championships in Spain, he won bronze after losing to Luke McCormack in the semi-finals .
