Luke McCormack (* 8. June 1995 in Sunderland ) is a British boxer in the Light Welterweight . He is the twin brother of boxer Pat McCormack .

Luke McCormack reached sixth place at the European Schoolchildren Championships 2009 in Russia and second place at the European Junior Championships 2011 in Hungary ; he was eliminated in the final against Viktor Petrov (8:10). At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Kazakhstan he reached 13th place. In addition, he is British Junior Champion 2010 and British Junior Champion 2012 and 2013.

In the elite class he became English champion in 2015 and started at the European Games in Baku , where he was eliminated in tenth place against Sofiane Oumiha (0: 3). In 2017 he was again English champion and won the gold medal at the U22 European Championships in Brăila . He defeated Daniel Janićijević (5: 0), Richárd Kovács (4: 1), Volkan Gökçek (4: 1) and Lasha Guruli (4: 1). In June 2017 he took part in the European Championships in Kharkiv and reached the final against Mger Oganesyan (3: 2), Johan Orozco (5: 0), Sean McComb (3: 2) and Evaldas Petrauskas (4: 1) he was eliminated against Howhannes Batschkow (0: 5). He had thus qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , where he was eliminated in the round of 16 against Artem Harutiunian (0: 5).

In 2018 he won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Australia . He had beaten Sean McComb and lost in the semifinals to Jonas Junias . At the 2018 EU Championships in Spain he then won the gold medal, defeating Dmitri Galagot in the semifinals and Paolo Di Lernia in the final.

At the 2019 European Games in Minsk , he was eliminated in the semi-finals against Sofiane Oumiha and won a bronze medal. At the 2019 World Championships in Yekaterinburg , he was eliminated from Leonel de los Santos before reaching the medal ranks .
