The Muzat (also Muzat I or Muzart I ; Chinese 木 扎提 , Pinyin Mùzātí ) is a mountain in the Tian Shan in Xinjiang ( PR China ).
The 6571 m high glaciated mountain is located in the county wensu county in the administrative district of Aksu . The seven-thousand-meter Dschengisch Tschokusu ( Pik Pobeda ) rises 31 km further west, with which it is connected by a long mountain ridge. The northern flank of the Muzat lies in the catchment area of the Muzart River, which flows further east into the Tarim Basin . The south and east flanks are drained to the Tarim basin via other rivers flowing south. To the northeast, a ridge leads to the neighboring mountain Muzat II ( 6069 m ), 6.24 km away .
