Muzsikás is a Hungarian folk music group , founded in 1973, which mainly interprets traditional music from Hungary and from other countries and peoples of the Balkan and Carpathian regions. The repertoire of Muzsikás includes traditional music from almost all Hungarian-speaking regions, including songs and dances from Somogy and Transylvania , but also Yiddish , South Slavic and Roma music from various Balkan countries. The group has also recorded works by classical composers, in particular by Béla Bartók .

In 1993 the group recorded the record Máramaros - The Lost Jewish Music of Transylvania , with previously largely unknown music that had been forgotten by the Holocaust .
