My Bitter End is an American deathcore band from Middletown , New York . The style of the band can be assigned to both metalcore and melodic deathcore. It can also be best described by " Misery Signals meets Between the Buried and Me meets Through the Eyes of the Dead ".

biography

My Bitter End originally emerged from the ashes of the band Forordained after the lead singer left. Members Mike, Todd, Shawn and Stretch had been together as a band since 2000, and they were complete when the first "My Bitter End" singer Jesse Madre joined.

The debut album A Thin Line Between Heaven And Here was released in 2004 under Innerstrength Records.

In 2005 founding member Jesse was replaced by today's singer Tyler Guida. In addition, the guitarist Andrew (last name unknown) was added.

A short time later, however, guitarist Andrew was again replaced by today's AJ Topkins. The band explained it like this at the time:

" Not soon after we did what some would call 'an epic journey into the abyss of the unknown', which is a tour of murdering dragons and stabbing snakes with our swords, Andrew fell in the fire and we were sadly forced to look for a new warrior again ".

This explanation is meant to allude to the band's situation at the time, but Andrew did not die.

In 2007 their second album The Renovation was released under Uprising Records.

My Bitter End was not active from 2008 to 2011, as the band members took other paths that, according to their own statements, took precedence over the band: Bassist Shawn Jennings was then working for a computer company in Texas , singer Tyler Guida was into deathcore / grindcore -Band Dr. Acula joined, drummer Michael Ranne worked in the deathcore band We Are The Romans and Through the Eyes of the Dead, guitarist AJ Topkins also joined Through the Eyes of the Dead, and Todd Ranne (electric guitar) moved to Florida to pursue his professional career. However, My Bitter End hadn't disbanded during that time.

In the summer of 2011, the band announced that they would be active again and go on tour. In December 2011, Tim Zlinsky was finally introduced as the new singer. However, he left the band again in August 2012, whereupon the former singer Tyler Guida returned and said goodbye to Dr. Acula announced. Michael Ranne and Chris Henckel are also concentrating on My Bitter End again. The recordings for a new EP have been running since mid-2012.
