Reviews

The album received very mixed reviews from music critics , with the critics sometimes differing significantly in their assessment. The majority of the critics rated the album mostly positive to neutral.

Kathrin Lang from musicsection.de is mostly positive about the album and gives 4 out of 5 possible points. She writes about the album that the variety of genres ensures an original sound and that the lyrics are more mature than the previous album. The only negative aspect is that the album lacks songs with real hit potential. In conclusion, she is of the opinion that Bonaparte stayed true to his style, but thanks to the lyrics he can still surprise.

Tim Brosowski also rated the album positively in his review for cdstarts.de and gave it 7 out of 10 points. Regarding the album, he thinks that the songs are particularly suitable for live performances. He finds further praise for the subtlety of the lyrics and how they were integrated into the music.

Laut.de also rates the album mostly positive, but finds more points of criticism. Like Lang and Brosowski, critic Jakob Rondthaler writes that although the album lacks the real hits, the songs are very suitable for concerts. Furthermore, he complains that the party atmosphere of the album can be a bit exhausting in the long run. The rating is 3 out of 5 possible stars.

Ulf Ayes from motor.de also wins the positive aspects of the album. In contrast to the previous album Too Much , it is more conclusive and thrilling, and the lyrics are well written.

Christian Preussler from Plattentests.de, however, has a different opinion . He gives the album 3 out of 10 stars and says that My Horse Likes You is a dull album for parties and therefore primarily addresses the people who Bonaparte criticizes in their lyrics. In addition, the production was poorly carried out and the texts were void. Nevertheless, Preußler also thinks that Bonaparte can continue their success with the album.

The online edition of Computer Bild agrees with Preussler's opinion and awards the rating disappointing . The album was recorded and produced without thinking and the lyrics are meaningless.

Videos

A music video was released for the single Computer in Love , which shows Jundt and parts of his band in the "virtual world" of the computer. The video ends with Jundt's head turning into a screen.

For the recorder series of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit , there was also a video for the single My Horse Likes You , in which Jundt appears on a horse farm with a record player and an acoustic guitar.
