My Name Is (series)
My Name Is is a German impersonator casting show on RTL II . The participants imitate their idol, for example by singing or dancing. The show takes place in Düsseldorf. The viewers vote by televoting which two candidates will win.
season 1
The first season of the format began in 2011. The three-person jury consisted of pop singer Michelle , model Alessandra Pocher and music producer Maarten Steinkamp . They decided whether the candidate got ahead or had to go. There was a child winner and an adult winner. The children's winner was Justin Bieber imitator Linus. The adult winner was Robbie Williams imitator Mario.
season 2
The second season took place since April 2012. The jury stayed the same. The "knockout round" was introduced, where two candidates compete against each other. The jury decides who gets ahead. In the final, eight candidates competed against each other. Robert and Carmen Geiss were invited as star guests . The winner of the second season was Christian Sander with the cover band Weissglut - A Tribute To Rammstein as imitators of the Rammstein group . The children's winner was Adele- imitator Maria.
