The olive-flanked wood warbler ( Myiothlypis leucoblephara , syn .: Basileuterus leucoblepharus ) is a small songbird from the wood warbler family (Parulidae).

Olive flank warblers reach a body length of 14 to 15 centimeters and weigh around 14 to 21 grams. The wing length is 6.3 to 6.5 centimeters in the male and 5.9 to 6.5 centimeters in the female. Adult olive-flank warblers and young birds from the first year on have a black-gray parting; the rest of the head plumage is gray. A black line runs from the base of the beak backwards into the neck. There is a broken white eye ring around the eye. The upper side plumage is olive green to olive brown; the underside plumage gray-white, which ends in yellow to the rear.

The distribution area extends from Brazil via Paraguay to Uruguay and Argentina . Olive flank warblers inhabit forests from an altitude of 1600 meters.

There are two recognized subspecies:

  • Myiothlypis leucoblephara leucoblepharus ( Vieillot , 1817) - Southeastern Brazil, Southern Paraguay, Northeastern Argentina
  • Myiothlypis leucoblephara lemurum Olson , 1975 - Southeast Uruguay and Southeast Brazil
