Mykola Oleksijowytsch Malyschko ( Ukrainian Микола Олексійович Малишко ; born February 15, 1938 in Znamivka , Dnipropetrovsk Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian sculptor and painter.

Life

Mykola Malyschko was born in the village of Snameniwka near Novomoskowsk in the Ukraine and studied at the State Art Institute in Kiev until 1967 and has since worked in the genre of painting and monumental art. Since 1976 he has been a member of the National Association of Artists of Ukraine. Since the 1970s he belonged to a group of unofficial artists, including Iwan Martschuk , who only showed their work to a very close circle of friends. Some of his works are exhibited in the National Taras Shevchenko Museum in Kiev and the National Museum in Lviv . Malyschko lives and works in the village of Malyutyanka, 30 km southwest of Kiev.
