Myrta Ludwig

Myrta Ludwig (* 1928 in Zurich ; † November 18, 2003 ) was a Swiss chess player . She won the Swiss women's championship three times .

She learned to play chess from her father. Her first chess club was the Oerlikon chess club , which she did not join until the age of 28. She won the Swiss women's championship in Lucerne in 1969 , in Muttenz in 1977 and in St. Moritz in 1978 . In 1976 she took part in the Chess Olympiad in Haifa with the Swiss women's team and, as a reserve player, achieved a positive result of 3.5 points from 6 games.

After a long illness, she died in 2003. Her husband also played chess. Her daughter, Silvia Faust-Ludwig, is also a chess player.
