Mys Vize ( English transcription from Russian Мыс Визе Mys Wise , German 'Cape meadow' ) is a cape off the coast of the East Antarctic Queen Marie Land . It lies at the northwest end of the Shackleton Ice Shelf .
Russian scientists named it. It is named after the Russian or Soviet climatologist and oceanographer Wladimir Juljewitsch Wiese (1886–1954), a pioneer of sea ice research .
