Mytaher Haskuka

Mytaher Haskuka (born October 12, 1973 in Prizren , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Kosovar Albanian politician ( LVV ) and mayor of the municipality of Prizren since 2017 .

biography

Mytaher Maskuka was born in Prizren in 1973. There he attended the Gjon-Buzuku-Gymnasium, which he graduated in 1992 with a focus on science and mathematics. He then studied psychology at Boğaziçi University and obtained a master's degree in 2001. From 2005 he also attended the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , where he received his doctorate in psychology and political science in 2009 . Since 2003 he has been teaching at the University of Pristina .

During the Kosovo war , he got involved in a refugee camp in the Turkish city of Kirklareli , where he gave psychological care to many Kosovar Albanian refugee children. After the war in Kosovo, he worked for UNDP in Kosovo. In addition to his native Albanian , he is also fluent in English , Turkish and Serbo-Croatian .
