Nándor Dáni [ ˈnaːndor ˈdaːni ] (born May 30, 1871 in Budapest , † December 31, 1949 there ) was a Hungarian middle-distance runner .

As a member of the Magyar AC Budapest , Dáni took part in the I Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens , Greece . In the first run of the preliminary round of the 800-meter run , he qualified second with two tenths of a second over the Australian Edwin Flack for the final. There he crossed the finish line again on April 9, 1896 after 2: 11.8 minutes, just behind Flack and thus won the bronze medal (in 1896 the winner received the silver and the second the bronze medal).
