Nürnberger Hof (parliamentary group)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nürnberger Hof was the name of a since September 1848 existing political group in the National Assembly in Frankfurt . As with most parliamentary groups in the National Assembly, the name refers to the usual meeting place of the parliamentary group members, in this case the Nürnberger Hof in Frankfurt am Main .

The faction was a moderate split from the left-wing Deutscher Hof faction around Friedrich Carl Biedermann , Georg Friedrich Kolb , Gabriel Riesser and Wilhelm Loewe . Its members gained special importance in the imperial constitution campaign and the maintenance of the National Assembly as a rump parliament .
