N 6 -Carbamoylmethyladenine is a heterocyclic organic compound with a purine backbone. It is a derivative of the nucleic base adenine , whichcarriesthe carbamoyl group on the amino group . It was described in 1975 in the bacteriophage Mu and Lambda-Mu.
