The competitions took place on November 26th, December 3rd and 17th, 2000, January 14th and 21st, February 4th and 25th, March 4th and 25th and April 8th and 22nd, 2001. They were decentralized at played by the clubs involved.
Season course
The defending champion Miskolci SSC was in a class of his own and won by 9 points. From the NL I / B. the were Vasas SC Novák and Pénzügyőr SE ascended. Both promoted players took the last places, but since Sárospataki Elektromos Sport Egyesület withdrew the team, Vasas still managed to stay up.
