Naíta Ussene

Naíta Ussene (* 1959 in António Enes , Portuguese East Africa ) is a Mozambican photojournalist .

In April 1974 Ussene started working for the anti-colonial Mozambican magazine Tempo . After Mozambique gained independence in 1975, Ussene began working with other photographers such as Ricardo Rangel and Kok Nam . In 1976 he returned to Tempo as a photojournalist .

Together with other journalists, Ussene founded the media cooperative Mediacoop in 1992 , which publishes the newspapers Mediafax and Savana , among others . Ussene still works for the Savana today.

Ussene is chairman of the Associação Moçambicana de Fotografia .
