The Na strašidlech ( German  Heinrichstein ) is a hilltop with a legendary rock massif two kilometers northwest of Horní Blatná in the Bohemian part of the Ore Mountains .

Geographical location

below the cliff

Heinrichstein lies above the Karlovy Vary – Johanngeorgenstadt railway line , between the Potůčky and Horní Blatná stop . Road 221 leads from Potůčky to Horní Blatná below the mountain.

The rock massif can be reached via a hiking trail that leads past the Horní Blatná sports field and Jelení hora (Deer Mountain) to Stráň (goat pit).

history

Below the mountain, on the road from Johanngeorgenstadt to Platten, was once the Gasthaus zum Heinrichstein, which emerged from the manor house of an upper blue paint factory in Breitenbach. Like all the individual buildings in the Breitenbachtal, this inn was demolished after 1945.

A certain spoonbill had three iron crosses erected on the summit of the Heinrichstein, on which legend has it that it is "not right". They were also removed after the Second World War.
