The district is located in the Bohemian Ore Mountains south of Potůčky. Some of the few houses extend along the Breitenbach along the road II. Class 221, which was an important artery on the way to Karlovy Vary as the Plattener Pass until the 19th century . More houses are about 500 m further east on Kozí potok (goat stream ), where a large part of the population was settled before the expulsion of the German population after the Second World War.

The village, whose name presumably from Ziche be deduced from an outdated designation of the jaw, is mentioned in 1520, when William of Tettau here soaps - fief awards tin. Like everywhere else in this area, this town also lived from mining. In addition to the tin mining, some silver was also found, so that a silver smelter is mentioned in 1620. Tin was mined in the "Dorothea" mine between the beginning of the 17th century and the end of the 18th century.
