Nachhilfe für Vati is a feature film on East German television from 1983 , directed by Karola Hattop . The first broadcast took place on January 1, 1984 in the 2nd program of the GDR television. The film focuses on the siblings Sebastian and Bettina Herbst, who live with their mother Lore Herbst after their parents divorced. Sebastian in particular suffers a lot from the separation. After a chance reunion with his father, he tries, without his mother's knowledge, to persuade him to return.
