Nader Rahy

Nader Rahy (born April 9, 1974 ) is a German songwriter and musician from West Berlin .

biography

At the age of twelve, Rahy began teaching himself to play the drums. At the age of 16 he was a singer and guitarist in a rockabilly band. He became the singer and songwriter of the band Nada Brama, which won the international band competition Emergenza in 2000, in which Rahy was also named "best singer".

In 2002 he became guitarist in the band of the German pop singer Nena . In the following years he worked in the band as a live and studio musician as well as a composer; During this time, Nader was awarded gold and platinum several times for his collaboration with Nena . In 2009, Rahy and his band Officer I'm High released a self-titled debut album on the Berlin independent label MKZwo. For the 2009 film Die Piloten , in which Christoph Schlingensief's work is documented, he composed and produced a large part of the soundtrack music. The song Holy War from his band's album became the movie's theme song. At the end of 2009 Rahy wrote and produced the music for the four-part TV series Love Without Borders broadcast on ZDF .

Rahy played the drums on tours or on recordings from various bands such as Warren Suicide and Silverback and joined Lenny Wolf's band Kingdom Come in 2010 , for which he drums until 2014.

In 2010 he founded the band Les Blaque Pearlz , of which he is the creative head and front man. In 2013 he took part in the third season of the German singing talent show The Voice of Germany . He was among the best six candidates in Coach Nena's group and thus among the best 24 participants overall. Shortly afterwards he released his first solo album Tokunbo on his own .
