comics

Under the label Erzaehlmirnix, Hermann publishes classic three- or four-panel comics with stick figure figures that are created with the MS Paint software . They often depict dialogues between two characters, of which only the heads can be seen in the picture. The characters mostly represent controversial opinions, the dialogues often end in a surprising ending. She publishes her comics on Twitter and Facebook and at times also ran a blog of the same name . At Mimikama , erzaehlmirnix is referred to as “a small mirror of society”. Her Twitter account, on which she regularly publishes her comics, was awarded the Golden Blogger in March 2020 .

In 2016 Heyne published her comic Tell me nothing . In December 2016, Hermann published a comic in which she referred to her work as an ambassador for intaktiv eV , who advocates genital self-determination and speaks out against the medically unnecessary circumcision of boys and men and female genital mutilation .

Behavioral Therapist - Weight Loss Myths

Hermann is also a behavior therapist with a nutritional background. She worked intensively on research into weight loss and gain caused by being overweight. About her findings in this area, she wrote the book fat logic overcome , which initially appeared as an e-book and was later published as a paperback by Ullstein Verlag . At times it was the best-selling book on Amazon Germany and reached number 16 on the pocket non-fiction book list of GfK Entertainment and number 3 in the corresponding Spiegel bestseller list . Hermann uses the term “fat logics” to refer to “a collection of myths, half-truths and beliefs on the subject of (over) weight”, which in her opinion ultimately ensure that those affected face their own weight with a certain helplessness. The book was published in English in January 2019 .
