Nadsey Abramawa
Nadseja Aljaksandrauna Abramawa ( Belarusian Надзея Алякса́ндраўна Абрамава ; from 1945 Nadeshda Theodorowitsch ; * 1907 in the Minsk Governorate ; † February 18, 1979 in Munich ) was a Belarusian politician, activist and publicist. During the German occupation in World War II, she was the head of the girls' organization of the Belarusian Youth Office .
Life
Abramawa was born in 1907 in the Minsk Governorate in what was then the Russian Empire . She attended evening classes at the Pedagogical Institute in Minsk , finished her studies at the Medical Institute in Minsk and worked in a psychiatric university clinic. During the Second World War she worked actively with the German occupiers. From mid-1942 she was in charge of childcare in the Belarusian self-help organization . On June 22, 1943 she became the chairwoman of the girls' organizations of the Belarusian Youth Office . She also wrote regularly for the newspaper "Long live Belarus". In the same year she became the confidante of the Beloruthenian Central Council. She was a participant of the II Belarusian People's Congress on April 27, 1944 in what is now the Janka Kupala Theater .
In the summer of 1944 Abramawa fled to Germany and worked in the reduced administrative staff of the White Ruthenian Youth Office in Opava . During this time she published the "Lernliste" bulletin. On September 15, 1944, Abramawa was co-opted into the Beloruthenian Central Council in Berlin . After the war she took the name Nadeshda Theodorowitsch in exile and stayed in a monastery for some time. She later worked at the Institute for Research on the USSR eV in Munich , where she dealt with the topics of atheism and religion . She was an active member of the Russian Greek Catholic Community of Saints Nicholas and Sel. Leonid. Theodorowitsch died on February 18, 1979 in Munich.
