Nahed Selim (* 1953 in Egypt ) is an Egyptian interpreter and freelance journalist . She lives in Amsterdam . Selim is the author of the book Take the Koran from men! For a feminine interpretation of Islam .

Selim demands in her book Take the Koran from men! For a female interpretation of Islam on Muslim women to participate in the interpretation of Islam and not to leave this to male theologians alone. It deals with several passages from the Koran as well as passages in the hadiths that describe or demand inequalities between men and women. She also tells the stories of some of the Prophet's wives and thus examines the origins of some of the Koran suras .

In 2013 she left Islam and was baptized in the Roman Catholic Church .
