Nail Bashmakov (born September 29, 1995 ) is a Kazakh cross-country skier .

Career

Bashmakov ran his first races in the Eastern Europe Cup in November 2016 in Vershina Tjoi , which he finished in 138th place in the sprint, 117th place over 10 km freestyle and 80th place over 15 km classic. At the U23 World Championships in Goms in 2018 , he finished 56th over 15 km classic. He made his debut in the World Cup in January 2019 in Otepää , which he finished classically in 56th place over 15 km. At the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk , he came in 50th place in the sprint, 17th place over 10 km classic and in pursuit and 12th place in the 30 km mass start race. In the 2019/20 season he achieved 50th place in the Ski Tour and scored his first World Cup points with 55th place in the Tour de Ski 2019/20 .
