Goms is a municipal and civil parish in the Goms district of the Swiss canton of Valais .

The new community was created on January 1, 2017 from the merger of the former municipal communities Blitzingen , Niederwald , Grafschaft , Münster-Geschinen and Reckingen-Gluringen . The seat is in Gluringen . The coat of arms was taken over from the previous municipality of Münster-Geschinen. The new community has around 1200 inhabitants. The area extends over 129 square kilometers.
