Until December 31, 2016, Reckingen-Gluringen was a municipality in the Goms district in the German-speaking part of the Swiss canton of Valais .
The community was created in 2004 from the merger of the two former municipal communities Reckingen and Gluringen . On January 1, 2017, it merged with the communities of Blitzingen , Grafschaft , Münster-Geschinen and Niederwald to form the new community of Goms .
