Namib Mills is the largest grain processing company in Namibia . The company was founded in 1982 in the capital Windhoek and is one of the largest of its kind in southern Africa . It is part of the South African NMI Group .

As a Namibian company, Namib Mills occupies an outstanding position in the use of exclusively Namibian resources and runs numerous programs to strengthen the local population.

Products and manufacture

In addition to white and brown sugar , rice , corn flour , mahangu and flour are also processed. The capacity of the mixing plant is five tons per hour. In addition, Namib Mills has one of the most modern pasta factories on the African continent, which is due to start operations in 2011. For this N $ 83 million was invested. A rice cleaning and packing plant was built in Windhoek in 2009 and investments were made in a sugar packing plant there and in Otavi .
