Nancy Tellem

Nancy Tellem (born December 1, 1953 in Danville , California ) is an American attorney and president of the radio and television network CBS .

Life

She received her Juris Doctorate from Hastings College of the Law at the University of California . She received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley . She is the daughter of Jewish Holocaust survivors . She is married to the American players' agent Arn H. Tellem. She practiced her profession as a lawyer in Los Angeles for four years. In Washington she worked as an intern for Congressman Ron Dellums .

Her first major position was in the legal department of the former television production company Lorimar Fernsehen. In 1987 she was promoted to Vice President, Business and Finance. In 1995 she was named vice president of business affairs. She became President of CBS in 1998. As President, she oversees the programming, development, production, business and operations of the CBS network.
