Nando Bruno (actually Ferdinando Bruno ; born October 6, 1895 in Rome , † April 11, 1983 ibid) was an Italian actor .

Life

Bruno completed a technical education, but after the First World War he devoted himself to his passion, acting, which he pursued in smaller ensembles at the Varieté and Avanspettacolo . From 1938, he also worked in various supporting roles in film as a frustrated husband, pastor, mayor, taxi driver, mechanic or craftsman, and after the Second World War his coarse, but ultimately good-natured manner came to full fruition. On stage you saw Bruno, who celebrated successes with Ciro Berardi as a comic couple, now also in Garinei and Giovannini's Pirulì, Pirulì, ... next to Carlo Campanini , Alberto Rabagliati and the Nava sisters. In the cinema, film followed film, with Rome, Open City , The Crime of Giovanni Episcopo and MP Angelina showing his most notable roles in short succession in the immediate post-war years . For the second, he received a silver ribbon for best supporting actor. Here, as is often the case on stage and often in other films, he was engaged as a partner of Aldo Fabrizis .
