Nane Germon

Nane Germon (born June 10, 1909 in Paris as Germaine Hélène Nannon Boesen , † March 6, 2001 in Asnières-sur-Seine ) was a French actress.

life and career

Nane Germon had a long career in French film and television, although she almost always appeared in supporting roles. Between 1932 and 1996 she appeared in around 100 film and television productions. She had one of her better-known appearances in Jean Cocteau's film fairy tale Once Upon a Time (1946), where she played one of the vicious older sisters of Josette Day's main character, The Beautiful. Germon also took on roles in Claude Autant-Lara's crime comedy Die Rote Herberge (1951) alongside Fernandel and in Claude Chabrol's thriller Two Friends (1968) with Jean-Louis Trintignant . At an advanced age, she was still in front of the camera in 1995 for the fantasy film The City of Lost Children , where she played Judith Vittet's character as an old woman.

Nane Germon died in 2001 in Asnières-sur-Seine, France, at the age of 91.
