reception

“Complex social crime about the revenge of a young man who penetrated a rich entrepreneurial family through a friend and finally fell victim to their intrigues. With interlaced flashbacks and many inner monologues that visibly overwhelm the actor Belmondo and take away the precision of the critical story. "

“Henri Verneuil (' Fear over the City ') tells in clever flashbacks of corruption and hypocrisy in the provinces. Conclusion: cleverly structured and cleverly told. "
