Charles Gérard
Charles Gérard (born December 1, 1922 in Istanbul , Turkey ; actually Charles Atchémian ; † September 19, 2019 ) was a French film actor and director of Armenian origin.
Life
Charles Gérard was born in Istanbul in 1922 to an Armenian family. Since 1970 he has appeared in many films by director Claude Lelouch , often under the name Charles or Charlot.
Gérard also worked as a screenwriter in the 1950s and 1960s . As a director, he directed several short documentaries and six feature films from 1954 to 1979. He was also involved in documentary series.
