Nadine Trintignant
Nadine Trintignant (born November 11, 1934 in Nice ; actually Lucienne Marquand ) is a French screenwriter , film director , film producer and author .
Life
Nadine Trintignant comes from a family of actors. Like her older brothers, the actors Christian Marquand and Serge Marquand , she became interested in the cinema from an early age. Since she also enjoys writing, she first tried her hand at writing a screenplay. In the credits of her early films from 1961 onwards, she is listed as Nadine Marquand .
In April 1971 she signed the Manifesto des 343 , an action by French feminists against the abortion law and for self-determination. This action became the model for the German equivalent We have aborted! dated June 1971.
From 1960 to 1978 she was married to Jean-Louis Trintignant , with whom she has three children. However, her daughter Pauline died of sudden infant death in 1969 . Pauline's death was thematized in her 1971 feature film That Happens Only to Others .
Another stroke of fate struck her in July 2003. While filming a television film about the life of the writer Colette in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , her daughter Marie Trintignant was seriously injured by her lover, the rock singer Bertrand Cantat , in the course of an argument by slapping her in the face, after which she fell into a coma for six days later died. She later finished the film and published the memory book Ma fille, Marie , in which she described the perpetrator as a murderer.
Their third child, son Vincent Trintignant , also became an actor. She has worked with him several times and also cast him in her television films.
