action

Isabelle Douléan, a teenager, studies medicine in Paris without great ambitions and in her free time meets up with Marc, a somewhat inexperienced boy of the same age. The fact that her parents live separately is not a big problem for Isabelle. She has a relaxed relationship with both of them and lives with her father Jean in Paris.

When Isabelle wants to quit her education after a screwed exam, an argument breaks out. Her father - a teacher by profession - gave her a lot of freedom in the past to see his child happy and in the hope that he can still let her go one day with a good education. After being slapped by her father, Isabelle travels to her mother Hélène on the British island. Her secret admirer Remi accompanies her without being asked. They spend the night in the large mansion of Hélène's British partner. Father Jean follows her and arrives the next morning. Isabelle greets him with no resentment. Now she has to decide where she wants to live in the future. Mother Hélène would like to have her daughter around for a while. After some back and forth, Isabelle decides to live with Remi in Paris. Both have to take a job in order to finance a rental apartment. Isabelle has hired herself as a ballet teacher and babysitter. So Jean has to bury his dream of a daughter with a college degree.
