Nano Morgante
Nano Morgante ( Italian ; German "dwarf Morgante"), actually Braccio di Bartolo , was the famous court dwarf of the Medici from Cosimo I to Ferdinando I in Florence in the second half of the 16th century . He is immortalized in numerous Florentine works of art , including the famous portrait of Agnolo Bronzino on the front and back of the same panel, various bronzes by Giambologna and the fountain sculpture ( riding a turtle ) by Valerio Cigoli in the Boboli Gardens .
