Nansenisen

The Nansenisen ( Norwegian for Nanseneis ) is a glaciated region in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is south and east of Sør Rondane . The region is the site of some meteorites .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1962 after the Norwegian polar researcher Fridtjof Nansen (1861–1930).
