Nardaran is a settlement (qəsəbə) on the Abşeron Peninsula in Azerbaijan . It belongs to the Sabunçu district of the capital Baku . The settlement had around 9400 inhabitants in 2014.

In the city is the 14th century Nardaran Castle .

The settlement is known for its particularly devout residents, which is very unusual and seldom among the secularized population of the secular state. In 2002 and 2006 demonstrations led to clashes with the police.
