Nardia is a genus of moss in the order Jungermanniales . It is named after the Italian and Abbot Stanislaus Nardi , one of the sponsors for Michelis Genera Plantarum .
features
The plants have rounded flank leaves. The lamina cells of the flank leaves have triangular thickenings in the corners. There are two to three large oil bodies per cell . The lower leaves are lanceolate to spear-shaped. The foot of the sporogon is sunk into a protuberance of the stem tissue, the so-called perygynium.
